Lori creates environments that echo the physical beauty of the natural world; filtering that beauty through a stylized lens. Using reclaimed wood surfaces, she often incorporates the wood grain into the work itself, bringing light to the sacred mountain peaks, river valleys and forested ocean landscapes of my home in the Pacific Northwest. Often, her work calls attention to specific threats these landscapes face; from deforestation and overfishing to pollution to overpopulation.
